“Brake pads” Arts and crafts Exhibition

For this November’s exhibition entitled brake pads we asked the post modern conceptual artist Barrie J Davies to curate the exhibition, but it has gone horribly erroneous as in a statement by Barrie J Davies, he has stated that he will be hijacking the Garej Artpace with his fanatical anarchic army of artists, musicians and poets for his own psychedelic humorous insubordinate desires. The manifesto of a statement was sent to us wrapped around a gold house brick which was thrown through one of the studio windows (no one was hurt during this incident).  The statement started with a quote from Jack Kerouac

     “The only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn, like fabulous yellow roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars and in the middle you see the blue centerlight pop and everybody goes "Awww!”

         After just interpretation of this piece of passage some of the members of the studio ran away in fear for there own mental judgment. The announcement then followed with a list of demands and shopping lists for his gang of unscrupulous art rebels for their exhibition. We then later that day received an audio tape from Barrie J Davies which was delivered by a playboy bunny girl on a moped; the tape contained spoken in a muffled disguised voice more ransom demands and some really bad singing and on the other side were the Spice Girl’s greatest hits. Two days after these surreal proceedings we received by post a cheque to cover the cost of the broken window by one of Barrie’s henchmen.

So if you want to know what lunacy is going to be behind the shutters of the Break Pads exhibition you better come on down and check it out! Because we at the Garej Artspace have no idea what Barrie J Davies is planning and plotting to do under his mischievous rein for his hijack / curated exhibition.
